Oreo Ice Cream

This oreo ice cream is the only ice cream recipe you will ever need! So creamy and easy to make, this is one of my favourite dessert ideas.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups half and half cream
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 10 oreos, coarsely crushed

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, mix together the cream and the sugar until the sugar is melted.
  • In a medium bowl, beat together the egg yolks. Slowly mix in half of the warm cream mixture to the egg yolks. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan, and mix until the mixture thickens. Pour into a chilled bowl, and refrigerate until cold.
  • Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer’s instruction.
  • When the ice cream is the consistency of soft serve, stir in the oreos.
  • Place the ice cream in an airtight container and freeze until ready to serve.
