In a medium saucepan, heat the apples, 1 Tablespoon brown sugar, cinnamon and water. Heat for around 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until the apples are softened.
Meanwhile, cut the uncooked cinnamon rolls into 6 pieces. It is okay if they fall apart. Sprinkle them evenly on the bottom of the prepared pie pan.
Pour the apple mixture over the cut up cinnamon rolls.
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and 1/3 cup brown sugar. Sprinkle evenly over the apple mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 28-30 minutes, or until cooked through in the centre.
Place the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls in a microwave safe bowl. Heat in the microwave for around 10 seconds, or until pourable.
Pour the icing evenly over the baked cinnamon rolls. Serve warm.
