Easy Valentine's Day Cake Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1/3 cup frosting
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • Valentine's Day Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Bake the cake according to package instructions. Allow to cool completely.
  • Using a stand mixer, mix together the cooled cake and the frosting until fully combined. Set aside.
  • Place the white chocolate chips and the coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals, mixing until smooth.
  • Form the cake into balls using your hands. Dip them in the melted chocolate and place on the prepared cookie. Sprinkle with sprinkles.
  • Place the cookie sheet in the fridge (or freezer) until the chocolate is hardened.

Notes

  1. Allowing it to cool in the freezer results in a harder cake ball, and it will have to be kept frozen to avoid condensation forming. Allowing them to cool in the fridge will result in a softer cake ball that can be stored at either room temperature or in the fridge.
  2. Switch up the sprinkles to enjoy for any occasion.
