Cherry Sauce

Easy Cherry Sauce recipe. Made with only 3 ingredients, this makes a great quick and simple topping for ice cream or pancakes.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb fresh cherries, sliced and pitted
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 Tbsp water, divided

Instructions

  • Add the cherries, sugar and 2 Tbsp water in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the cherries are tender.
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl mix together the cornstarch and the remaining 2 Tbsp water until smooth.
  • Slowly whisk in the cornstarch mixture into the cherry mixture and cook at a low hear until the sauce has thickened.

Notes

  1. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
