Nutella Cupcakes with Nutella Glaze

Ingredients

Cupcakes

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup Nutella
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp hot water
  • 2 Tbsp Nutella
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325˚F. Line a muffin pan with paper liners and set aside.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the milk, Nutella, sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla paste.
  • In a seperate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Slowly mix in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fuly incorporated.
  • Scoop the mixture into the prepared muffin pan and place in the prepared oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan before removing to cool on wire racks.
  • Glaze: In a medium bowl, mix together the glaze ingredients until smooth.
  • Dip the cupcake in the glaze, twirl it around and place it back on the wire racks to dry completely.
