Peppermint Cookies
Peppermint Cookies made with crushed candy canes. Super easy to make, they are a great addition to your yearly Christmas cookie recipes.

- 10 Tbsp salted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp milk
- 1 Tbps pure vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour (or you can use another cup of all-purpose)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy canes
Preheat the oven to 350˚F.
In a large bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, milk and vanilla until fully combined. Beat in egg.
In a medium bowl, mix together the flours, salt and baking soda. Slowly mix into the wet mixture until fully incorporated.
Fold in 1/2 cup crushed candy canes. Shape into 1-inch balls and place 2-inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to rack to cool completely.
