Chewy Browned Butter Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies

Easy Browned Butter Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe. Made with Karo® Corn Syrup, they are extra chewy and stay soft longer.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup Karo® Corn Syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • sea salt

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, heat the butter over medium-low heat and continue to cook until the butter begins to smell nutty and lightly brown. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the browned butter, sugar and corn syrup. Add in the egg and vanilla and mix until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Place the cookie dough in the fridge for at least 6 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Using a cookie scoop, scoop the batter onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes,or until the edges are lightly brown. Allow the cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet.
