Whenever I look in my spice cupboard and see that I have only about 1/4 teaspoon of a particular spice left, what is my first instinct? Not to buy more. Oh no, that sounds like something a normal person would do. I obviously dump it into the next drink I make.
Like the time I made Chili White Hot Chocolate. Now that was a good drink. I would never had put chili powder in a drink had I had more than 1/4 teaspoon of this spice. It’s a compulsion I tell you!

It just started raining again after some gorgeous days we’ve been having, so I needed something warm and comforting in this cold weather. And this drink really hits the spot. The best part is, it’s so easy to make! It’s the perfect drink to start your morning off, or to relax with at night.
Makes 1 drink
What you’ll need:
-1 cup milk
-1/2 cup water
-1 teaspoon agave syrup
-1 teaspoon white sugar
-1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
-2 tablespoons cocoa
-pinch of sea salt
-1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1. Heat the milk and water in a small saucepan. When it begins to simmer, lower the heat and whisk in the agave syrup, white sugar, ginger, cocoa and sea salt until fully combined.
2. When the hot chocolate is at your desired temperature, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
3. Pour into a mug and top with whipped cream.
